The Malaysian Invisible Illnesses Association (PPM-021-10-15112017), or MIIA, is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that is dedicated to people with invisible illnesses such as mental disorders, diabetes, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, endometriosis, etc. and their caregivers as well.
MIIA advocates for the rights of people with invisible illnesses, and promotes social inclusion and the spread of awareness of invisible illnesses to the public.
Our aim is to reduce stigma, discrimination and social isolation. MIIA committee members hail from various backgrounds in healthcare (e.g. doctors, psychologists, nurses, physiotherapists, etc) and non-healthcare (lawyers, teachers, etc) to help serve people with invisible illnesses holistically.
